Artist Bio:

Shelley Jund draws from the natural world, and thematically, she is fascinated by the microcosm and the macrocosm, science and an abiding spirituality, and the use of contrasting materials. She is particularly intrigued by the waxy, soft-focus of encaustic against the glassy, sharpness of resin. The use of those materials together evokes both a dream-state and a wakeful awareness for her.

Shelley is an Idaho native and has lived much of her adult life in Boise. She graduated from Boise State University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Illustration. Shelley has been exhibiting in Boise area shows since 2010.
